Ink Speak is a podcast I started in 2023, kind of by accident and kind of out of necessity, when my life stopped looking the way I thought it was supposed to look and I decided to follow something else instead.
One choice turned into another, and somehow it led me here.
I’m Maverick Malone—author, poet, and spoken word artist—and this isn’t your typical podcast. It’s not about formal teaching or interviewing. It’s more like a space you step into for a while, like we're two friends catching up and having coffee.
Every episode starts with a poem or spoken word piece, and then unfolds into whatever’s real in that moment for me—stories about love, loss, change, spirituality, and all the in-between parts people don’t usually say out loud. Sometimes I’m recording in my backyard, sometimes I’m traveling, sometimes I’m right in the middle of figuring something out. But wherever I am, you’re there with me.
This is a place for honest storytelling, sharing lived experiences, and for seeing your life from a different angle, and maybe feeling a little less alone in it. It's a place for questioning everything and expanding both perspective and the heart.
