Pressed Petals is
the first book I ever put into the world, representing my essence and
the culmination of childhood dreams of becoming an author. Like my later
books, this one also began unknowingly; I simply wrote to process and
make sense of my emotions and experiences at the time. But the more I
wrote, the more my inner guidance came through every word, leading me
home to myself. This collection is my personal journey through spiritual
awakening, healing through divorce, and the reclamation of my voice and
dreams.
By choosing to leave an unfulfilling marriage, I
ultimately chose myself. This book captures grief, transformation, the
courage to follow your dreams, and rebuild a life on your own terms.
Metaphorically, it's the song of a bird escaping a confined cage,
learning to take up space, and fly solo.
For anyone navigating heartbreak or major life change, Pressed Petals is a mirror, a friend, and a reminder: your story is just beginning.
Hope and Other Beautiful Things began
as a small chapbook contest entry that got rejected. Instead of
scrapping it, I planted the rough draft as a seed and watered my dream.
Over time, it grew into a full-length collection exploring hope, the
wonder of life, and the courage it takes to believe in yourself, proving
that with perspective and dedication, even heartbreak can blossom into
beauty, and that believing in something beautiful is never a waste of
time. And yes—I even published the official rejection letter. These
poems shimmer with evocative language exploring the quiet magic of
everyday life, the courage it takes to stay open, and the rebellious act
of believing in yourself. For anyone who needs a reminder that
vulnerability is strength, dreams matter, and light blooms in the
cracks—this book is for you. This is publishing the proof of hope. This
is breathing life into a dream. This is for the fireflies: the ones
still hoping, still trying, still believing...just enough to keep going.
What if love could be summoned and the words you write could shape destiny? From August to Aquarius,
my third book, is a memoir in verse that reads like a romance novel: a
spellbinding, sensory journey through healing and the awakening of a
bond that spans lifetimes.
I never set out to
write a book about love, but a note I wrote describing my ideal
connection grew into a poem, manifested a person (right down to his sun
sign & preference for hazelnut coffee), and expanded into this book.
It's the product of almost four years of healing and reflection,
exploring the transformative power of conscious connection, one that
feels spiritual and otherworldly. It's the story of what happens after
we've accepted our own love and then allow another to meet us there as a
reflection of all that we already are. Whether you love or hate poetry,
whether you're single or in a relationship, or whether you're a hopeful
romantic or cynical and ambivalent about love, this book is for
everyone.
Lush, intimate, and immersive, this
genre-breaking book is for readers of magical realism and memoir,
romance and metaphysics, and especially for those skeptical of poetry. From August to Aquarius weaves
these themes into an evocative true story of vulnerability, destiny,
and devotion, sure to captivate readers with its mysterious, evolving
narrative, culminating in a turn of events even I myself never saw
coming.
